American Express Global Business Travel is bringing its small and midsize enterprise-focused expense and purchasing management platform to the U.S., a year after first launching the system in the United Kingdom.
Dubbed Neo1, the platform includes budgeting, purchasing, expense management and reporting functions, along with access to GBT's online booking tool and travel support services. Neo1 also includes a purchasing integration with Amazon Business and the ability to directly integrate corporate credit cards. Amex GBT is offering Neo1 as a free subscription for the first 500 new customers to sign up for the service, the TMC said.
The U.S. rollout of Neo1 is the latest indication that Amex GBT is enhancing its ability to service the SME market, following its agreement earlier this year to acquire Egencia, which has a major presence in that segment. Egencia will continue to operate as a separate brand under the GBT umbrella after the close of the deal, scheduled for some time in 2022.
