Biopharmaceutical company Amgen in May 2022 switched its preferred global travel management company from CWT to American Express Global Business Travel.
The company in 2021 spent $4 million on U.S.-booked travel, compared with $16.6 million in 2020.
As business travel returned in 2021, Amgen put staff well-being at the top of its Covid-19 recovery strategy. The company focused on optimization of service, traveler experience and cost savings.
This year, Amgen continues to focus on its communication strategy with travelers, travel arrangers and stakeholders. It has implemented a temporary pre-booking approval as part of its duty-of-care strategy to remain agile on its preparedness to return to travel.
