BTN estimates Bank of America trimmed its U.S.-booked air
volume 6.7 percent year over year to $168 million in 2016 as the financial
services giant reported its second-most profitable year in its history. It has
been boosting its use of videoconferencing, which has cut down on travel
expenses. The bank reported revenue of $83.7 billion for the year, up from $83
billion the prior year, and a net income of $17.9 billion. Bank of America
reported 208,000 full-time employees as of the end of 2016, down from 213,000
the prior year, and it operates in all U.S. states and more than 35 countries.
