Direct Travel has named a former SAP Concur executive to lead customer experience of the travel management company's new technology stack along with appointing a new chief people officer, the TMC announced.
Dave Breslin—who was with Concur for 20 years, most recently as SVP and head of customer service—has joined Direct Travel as EVP of customer experience for the new tech stack. The TMC recently was acquired by a group of investors led by Concur co-founder Steve Singh, which has added to its technology offerings the group of companies in which Singh has recently played a key investment and development roles: Spotnana, Center and Troop.
Direct Travel also has named Michelle Sitzman as chief people officer, leading the TMC's talent strategy and development. Sitzman most recently served in the same role at data management provider Talend, where Direct Travel's new CEO Christal Bemont also previously was CEO. Prior to Talend, Sitzman was an HR leader at LinkedIn.
Both are new roles at Direct Travel, according to a spokesperson for the TMC.
Since the acquisition, several executives formerly at Concur and Talend have joined Direct Travel, including chief sales officer Todd Pelletier and SVP of technology and strategy Scott Schwisow. Singh mentioned both hires to BTN at the time of the acquisition, and their appointments formally were announced by Direct Travel last month.
