BTN estimates that privately held electronic health records
company Epic spent $4.1 million in U.S. point-of-sale airfares in 2021, down
from an estimated $9.9 million in 2020. The Verona, Wis.-based company
increased revenue in 2021 by 13 percent to $3.8 billion, according to CB
Insights and Forbes.
Epic has emphasized an in-office workforce since summer
2021, mandating three days on the company’s expansive Storybook campus for all
workers beginning July 17 and quickly ramping that to four days by Aug. 1. The
company has continued construction on new buildings to house its growing
employee base, which hit 11,300 in 2021, including those in the U.K
