FedEx spent $150 million on U.S.-booked air travel in the 2019 calendar year, according to BTN estimates. Carbon emissions related to team member business travel were down 1.7 percent year over year in the 2019 fiscal year, which ended May 31, 2019. The company has cut down internal travel for training by facilitating more classes regionally as well as through virtual training tools. FedEx's consolidated revenue declined 1 percent year over year to $69.2 billion in 2019, as global trade disputes have taken a toll on business. Operating expenses increased 2 percent to $66.8 billion.
