Travel management company Frosch has acquired TCG Consulting in a deal that will enable Frosch to offer its corporate clients a broader range of T&E management advisory services. The deal brings under Frosch's umbrella TCG's $26 billion in managed client travel spend, as well as TCG's proprietary total cost of ownership travel spend management methodologies. TCG will continue to operate independently as a standalone entity led by company founder and CEO Albert Taras. "While we will always take an agnostic, client-focused approach to advising our clients, we are excited about the ability to offer Frosch's operational capabilities for those seeking an integrated and bundled end-to-end solution," said Taras.
The past several months have seen significant shakeup in the corporate travel consulting sector, as a number of consultancies expanded and partnered with TMCs. Some observers have identified as a driving force the maturation of corporate travel programs, which has created clients to demand from TMCs the innovation and advisory services offers by consultancies. Meanwhile, both TMCs and corporates also have showed demand for consultants who can help navigate the fast-evolving travel technology landscape.
