BTN estimates investment and financial services firm Goldman Sachs's 2022 U.S.-booked air volume increased substantially from 2021 levels.

The company's business travel in 2022 generated more than 57,200 metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent emissions, up more than 140 percent from 2021 levels. About 86 percent of the 2022 emissions were generated by commercial air travel.

Goldman Sachs at the end of 2021 employed about 48,500 people worldwide, up from 43,900 one year prior. The company's 2022 revenue was $47.4 billion, down 20 percent from one year prior. Goldman Sachs in 2022 completed the $2.2 billion acquisition of financial tech firm GreenSky.
