Corporate ground transportation platform provider HQ and U.K.-based taxi provider Gett have partnered globally, HQ announced Tuesday, allowing HQ corporate customers to book on-demand and future rides directly through the Gett app or the HQ SummitGround platform.
Beginning March 14, Gett's transport options will appear alongside existing ground travel options on the HQ platform for corporate customers who ask to have the Gett content turned on, according to HQ.
The move "embeds Gett's services into the corporate policy compliance process of existing HQ users, making Gett a pre-approved option for travelers that is plugged into HQ users' billing and procurement processes," according to HQ.
For London specifically, the partnership expands HQ's presence in the city by leveraging Gett's network of more than 7,500 licensed taxis, "of which 45 percent are electric," according to HQ. The company added that on-demand rides with Gett will appear in HQ's sustainability reports to show "key emission hotspots, employee usage and travel behavior."
Gett also offsets all CO2 emissions from every ride booked on its app or platform in the U.K. with certified carbon offsetting projects through its partnership with EcoAct, according to HQ.
