JetBlue is partnering with at-home Covid-19 testing supplier Vault Health to give passengers access to testing prior to travel, the carrier announced.
Vault has created a landing webpage for JetBlue customers, at which they provide a JetBlue confirmation code and start the testing process at a discounted price. Vault provides a kit for an at-home saliva test, and users administrate it while on a video chat supervised by Vault to ensure the test is done properly. The user then sends it overnight to a lab, and results are provided within 72 hours.
The testing partnership will help passengers avoid quarantine requirements and adhere to other destination-specific requirements as travel resumes, according to JetBlue president and COO Joanna Geraghty.
"As more and more regions reopen, many are requiring test results to enter," she said in a statement. "Now with easier testing options, those safety requirements may not be a deterrent for travel but rather provide greater public health and peace of mind with little inconvenience."
Both United Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines last week announced testing programs designed to help passengers avoid quarantine requirements in Hawaii.
