There was a 12 percent jump in U.S.-booked air volume to $209 million for KPMG LLP in 2019, following a 15 percent increase in 2018. Total U.S. T&E spend for the audit, tax and advisory services firm, whose revenues hit $10 billion, climbed a more modest 5 percent to exceed $600 million for the first time. Travel management initiatives in the fiscal year to Sept. 30, 2018 included implementation of travel behavioral analytics. Only 5 percent of KPMG LLP's U.S-booked air spend in 2019 was international. The high domestic ratio helps explain why 85 percent of flights could be booked via an online booking tool, with 80 percent requiring no agency assistance. American Express Global Business Travel handled 95 percent of the network's air volume. For FY20 the pre-Covid-19 plan was to focus on sustainability.
