U.S.-booked air volume for the U.S. operations of professional services and Big Four accounting firm KPMG recovered significantly from 2021 levels.

Still, the company in 2022 instituted a policy change surrounding trip purpose. KMPG implemented a pre-trip approval process for trips that meet pre-determined criteria, a policy that is closely monitored and could be updated if necessary.

KPMG's global revenue for its 2022 fiscal year, which ended Sept. 30, 2022, increased about 14 percent to nearly $35 billion. Total headcount increased more than 12 percent to more than 219,000. The company has about 35,000 employees in the United States.
