Morgan Stanley's Corporate Services Travel & Meetings Management delivers a best-in-class travel program enhancing travelers experience through cost efficient, flexible services and cutting-edge technology. In 2019 the travel team competed a global assessment of travel agency costs and operations. It developed a travel technology roadmap to consolidate travel applications and initiated a two-year user-interface redesign of the firm's proprietary pre-trip approval tool. The travel team also launched its current airline program after completing an RFP and realized considerable savings versus baseline within the first year. It's annual hotel RFP implemented extended stay rates in the firm's top 10 cities.
Morgan Stanley increased traveler awareness by hosting travel fairs in global locations, circulating more traveler newsletters and hosting travel-related webinars. It also launched a sustainable travel campaign in 2019 with plans to offset 100 percent of global business travel carbon emissions by 2022.
Most recently, Morgan Stanley Travel & Meetings Management expanded its service platform with the launch of Employee Meetings Management, which will provide transparency, compliance and cost savings for external meetings not managed or supported by the firm's marketing team. EMM will use best practices in meeting planning and execution by leveraging travel spend and vendors to negotiate better rates, mitigating risk through contract management and developing duty of care procedures that allow security visibility into meetings attended by employees.
