Former hospitality, real estate and portfolio management executive for
Vale Resorts and Stonebridge companies Trip Riggs will take over as chief
financial officer for Dallas-based Omni Hotels & Resorts. He will report to
Omni president CEO Kurt Alexander, who held the CFO role for five years before
taking his current position in May 2022.
Riggs’ appointment is part of a clear effort at Omni to build a new
leadership team. The company in the last six months has named three new senior
executives with deep hospitality chops, including in the corporate market.
Omni in September named former Four Seasons executive Vince
Parotta as its first chief operations officer and in January named former
Accor chief commercial officer for North and Central America Jeff
Doane as Omni’s new CCO.
Omni has committed to investing $1.5 billion over the next five years in
refreshing the brand, upgrading properties and unifying its more than 50-location
portfolio across North America. The company has implemented instant meetings
booking capability through Groups360 and relaunched its loyalty program Select
Guest. It opened two new locations in 2023 in Tempe, Ariz., and Frisco, Texas, and has ongoing renovations at properties in Hot Springs, Va., Scottsdale, Ariz., Charlottesville, Boston, Denver, Indianapolis, Irving and San Diego, among others.
