Entertainment conglomerate Paramount
Global makes its first appearance on the CT100, at least under that name. The
company in 2022 changed its name from ViacomCBS, a firm that was formed in 2019
from the merger of CBS Corp. and Viacom. Holdings include Paramount Pictures
studios, as well as several television and cable networks, including CBS.
As the company has evolved, so has its
travel management operations. Paramount Global last year merged
and consolidated CBS's travel operations into its travel management program.
Paramount Global also in 2022 rolled
out a new travel and entertainment policy that streamlines several standalone
policies as well as introduced a new travel-approval process using tools from
Trondent Development Corp. The company in 2022 used several travel management
companies, including CWT and American Express Global Business Travel, but in
2022 conducted a TMC request-for-proposals process. It also further rolled out
SAP Concur's products to more areas of the firm.
Paramount Global's 2022 U.S.-booked
air volume nearly tripled from 2021 levels and is set to grow again in 2023.
Revenue in 2022 increased more than 5 percent year over year to nearly $30.2
billion. At the end of 2022, the company had about 24,500 full- and part-time
employees in 37 countries, up from nearly 23,000 the year before.
