Travel management company
network Radius announced on Thursday that Dee Runyan will become its senior
vice president of the Americas, effective Nov. 1. In her new role, Runyan will
oversee corporate sales, account management and supplier relationships for Radius
in North and South America.
She replaces former
Wyndham Hotel Group senior vice president of global sales and distribution
Gregory Land, who took on the Radius role in January, but left the company a
few weeks ago for a position with IBM Consulting.
Runyan, who will be based in
the company's Bethesda, Md., headquarters, has more than 20 years of business
travel management experience. She most recently served as a senior partner for
the consulting firm KesselRun Corporate Travel Solutions. Before that she spent
many years at BCD Travel, where she attained the role of executive vice
president.
"Dee has been a
prominent industry leader and innovator for many years at both BCD Travel and
Carlson Travel Group," said Chris Vasiliou, president and CEO of Radius. "Dee's
appointment is a further sign of Radius' growth in the corporate travel
management space and we look forward to her driving growth and service levels
in the Americas in 2010 and beyond."
Radius is made up of 90
member agencies, about 25 of which are in the Americas region.
