2019 U.S.-Booked Air Volume: $152 million
Consolidated U.S. TMC: BCD
After dropping 8.4 percent in 2019, U.S.-booked air volume for pharmaceutical, medical and healthcare conglomerate Roche bounced back nearly 10 percent in 2019—beating out the company's projections of a 3 percent recovery.
Roche's travel department was busy in 2019, rolling out an online booking tool and expense system and undertaking an RFP for global travel management services. Currently, 95 percent of global travel spend goes through a mix of the big three corporate TMCs. Meanwhile, the company made strides to improve traveler engagement and experience—areas that remain points of focus for 2020, along with traveler wellness initiatives.
