Business travel activity by SAP in the U.S. fell for a
second year, with booked air volume dropping from $130 million in 2019 to $21.2
million in 2020 and $5.5 million in 2021, all according to BTN estimates.
Globally, however, the enterprise software supplier’s
business travel-related activities increased moderately during the year.
SAP charges an internal carbon price for business flights in
most countries to counterbalance the carbon emissions caused.
Revenue at SAP edged upward from $27.3 billion in 2020 to
$27.8 billion in 2021. Total employees climbed from 102,000 to 107,000.
