BTN estimates that enterprise software suppler SAP spent $130 million on U.S.-booked air in 2019, an increase of $25 million over its estimates for 2018. SAP's total revenue increased 11.5 percent year over year to €27.6 billion in 2019, and operating expenses increased 21.4 percent. The company reports more than 100,000 employees worldwide. SAP charges an internal carbon price for air travel in the majority of countries in which it travels to invest in emission offsets, and it reported offsetting 240 kilotons of emissions in 2019.
