As more countries and territories
reopened their borders to travelers in 2022, The Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter-day Saints continued to send missionaries on assignments. The Church's
increased travel resulted in $53.5 million in U.S.-booked air volume in 2022,
up from $40 million the year prior. Of The Church's U.S.-booked flights, 49
percent were for domestic travel.
The Church fully returned to
in-office operations in 2021, and business travel returned to pre-pandemic
levels in early 2022.
Looking ahead, The Church will utilize new technology
to elevate its travel program efficiency.
