UATP has added TripActions to its merchant network, enabling UATP member-issued payment cards and accounts to be used as a form of payment for bookings made via the TripActions platform, the company announced.
The airline-owned UATP network in 2019 began allowing travel management companies to issue their own UATP-branded payment cards, but thus far BCD Travel and High Point Travel Inc. are the only TMCs to do so. The vast majority of its issuers remain air carriers, including Air China, which joined UATP in August 2020.
TripActions offers its own integrated payment product, Liquid, which the company rolled out a year ago. Last month, the tech-focused T&E provider secured $155 million in a Series E funding round.
