Overall 2019 travel and entertainment spending declined year over year at logistics and delivery giant UPS, according to a BTN estimate. The company in 2019 generated about 69,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent due to the air, car rental and rail aspects of its global business travel, down from 88,000 in 2018.
UPS's 2019 revenue totaled $74.1 billion, up from $71.9 billion the year before. The company at the end of 2019 had about 495,000 employees, including part-time employees, up from about 481,000 the year prior. About 83 percent of UPS employees are based in the United States.
