2021 U.S.-Booked Air Volume: $33.5 million
Discovery and WarnerMedia, which was previously owned by
AT&T, completed their merger in April 2022 to become Warner Bros. Discovery,
a new entity. The value of the deal was $43 billion.
BTN estimates that Warner Bros. Discovery had $33.5 million
in U.S. booked air volume in 2021 between the two companies. WarnerMedia in
2020 spent an estimated $29.3 million in U.S.-booked air volume. Discovery was
not part of last year’s 2021 CT100.
WarnerMedia in 2021 reported operating revenue of $35.6
billion. Discovery reported 2021 revenue of $12.2 billion.
The combined entity of Warner Bros. Discovery includes such
media brands as Animal Planet, CNN, Discovery, Food Network, HBO, HGTV,
Science, TBS and Warner Bros.
