Amadeus has promoted Sylvain Roy from VP of R&D for digital products and services for airlines to SVP of the Technology, Platforms and Engineering Group. He replaces Dietmar Fauser, who took the job eight months ago and now has moved to collaboration software company Symphony. In Roy's most recent role, he handled "e-commerce websites, including mobile, kiosks and call center applications," according to Amadeus. He's also managed availability and disruption products and led ticketing operations. He started at Amadeus as a software engineer 16 years ago. He now will deliver "consistently stable and reliable platforms across all of Amadeus' businesses, with a strong focus on continuing to automate operations and drive innovation within Amadeus' cloud-based architecture," according to the company.
