Etihad Airways plans to broaden its ancillary offerings by implementing Farelogix's FLX Merchandise engine. It will enable the carrier to showcase such products as preferred seats and priority boarding across distribution channels. Etihad also is developing a platform under the International Air Transport Association's New Distribution Capability standards to provide images, videos and other digital media to show those ancillary options. The NDC platform will launch in "the near future," according to the carrier.
