Travel managers and other administrators can book and manage itineraries for multiple travelers through TravelBank's new Book on Behalf of Another feature. While TravelBank's typical user books for him- or herself, the travel booking and expense incentive tool enhanced its desktop platform to make it easy for someone like an executive assistant to book travel for others.
Designated bookers can create traveler profiles, choose individual employees for whom to book travel and modify bookings through TravelBank's desktop platform. Previously, a booker had to remove his or her own traveler details from his or her account and enter the other traveler's information, explained TravelBank CEO Duke Chung. Companies can designate whether the booker or traveler keeps the incentive points or they split them.
Travel management company Flight Centre recently enhanced its Smart Assistant for Mobile chatbot to allow travel arrangers access to itineraries and trip disruption notifications and to take action on other travelers' trips through a smart device. Startup mobile travel assistant Lola also has launched a Book on Behalf feature.
