John Slosar, former CEO from 2011 to 2014 and chairman since then of Hong Kong airline Cathay Pacific, will resign effective Nov 6., the date of the next board meeting. Patrick Healy will take his spot. Healy joined Swire Pacific—which owns 45 percent of Cathay Pacific Group and holds the largest share in the aviation company—in 1988 and currently is managing director of Swire Coca-Cola, a nonexecutive director of Swire Properties and a director of Swire parent company John Swire & Sons. Slosar had been expected to retire soon, but the particular timing falls within a month of the CEO's and chief customer and commercial officer's resignations, which were related to protests in Hong Kong.
