Coworking and event space provider Convene this year will convert four Etc.venues locations into Convene-branded spaces to "segment" its portfolio for "stronger [venue] distinction," the company announced Tuesday.
Convene acquired U.K.-based meeting and event space provider Etc.venues in February 2023. Nearly one year after the acquisition, which included 16 venues, Convene is "thoughtfully and intentionally segmenting the recently-formed Convene portfolio of brands to better represent the two distinct offerings," Convene VP of product James Frankis said in a statement.
According to the company, Convene is a "premium lifestyle brand best suited for large, highly experiential events, while Etc.venues is an accessible lifestyle brand ideal for value-driven small meetings and corporate trainings."
Convene will convert Etc.venues spaces in London and New York into Convene-branded locations, the company said.
In New York, the company's 810 Seventh Avenue location will launch as a Convene space in February 2024, and its 360 Madison Avenue space will debut as a Convene in "late 2024," the company said. In London, the 155 Bishopsgate and 133 Houndsditch locations each will launch as Convenes in April 2024. The London properties will receive a "network replacement" during the rebranding, while all four properties will receive "aesthetic updates."
Convene's portfolio includes a network of 40 locations across nine cities, including SaksWorks.
