Hilton Worldwide during the next several years plans to add about 90 hotels across several brands in Canada, which would be about a 50 percent increase from its current 180 properties, the hotel company announced Monday.
Among the properties in Hilton's Canadian pipeline are "upward of 25" upper-midscale limited-service Hampton properties and 20 extended-stay hotels, according to Hilton. In total, the 90 or so properties in the Canadian pipeline would add about 11,000 rooms to Hilton's portfolio in the country.
Included in Hilton's 2024 planned openings in Canada are two upscale full-service Doubletree properties, in Kingston, Ont., and West Kelowna, B.C., and two upper-midscale extended-stay Home2 Suites properties, also in Kingston and in Kitchener, Ont.
Hilton also plans four new locations in Ontario in 2024 for Spark, its new midscale "premium economy" brand, in Markham, Oshawa, Owen Sound and Woodstock, as well as the opening of the Revery Toronto Downtown, part of its lifestyle Curio Collection.
