Travel technology suppliers Thomalex and JR Technologies are merging, with the aim of expanding the market presence of the "complementary" technology of the two companies, they announced.
JR Technologies developed the Aerostream travel retailing platform, which was built from New Distribution Capability and One Order and features a multi-product shopping cart for travelers to manages purchases for their trip in a single place. Thomalex offers a portal for travel management companies and corporate travel department as well as leisure agencies.
The companies said that combined they will be able to offer "enhanced capabilities, deeper expertise and a broader scope of offerings" around distribution and retailing.
The combined company will operate under the JR Technologies name and will be based in the United States. Financial details of the merger were not disclosed. A JR Technologies representative told BTN via email that the companies considered the merger complete.
