American Airlines beginning Dec. 22 will expand preflight Covid-19 testing availability and the use of a mobile app for verification to flights from Miami International Airport to Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador, the carrier announced Friday.
American previously announced travelers from Miami to Chile would have access to the VeriFly mobile wallet app, which allows travelers to display verification that they have met destination entry requirements. VeriFly also is available for travelers flying to Colombia from Miami, according to the carrier. VeriFly users have access to expedited check-in lanes at the airport's North Terminal.
Travelers to Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador beginning Dec. 22 can access at-home equipment via its partner LetsGetChecked for required Covid-19 testing. All three countries allow Americans entry with a negative Covid-19 test within 72 hours of travel.
Meanwhile, JetBlue on Friday announced it in early 2021 would expand its pre-flight testing availability to flights from the U.S. to Aruba, through its partner, Vault Health.
